How you are charged
Pricing
Event BDR charges per qualified contact. You add money to your account in advance and it is spent only on the contacts and meetings your reps actually bring back. There is no monthly retainer, no day rate per rep, and no travel, hotel or per-diem cost. In the language of the category, this is a pay per lead model rather than an agency retainer.
What you are charged for
Two things, and nothing else. A qualified contact, as defined by your brief. A booked meeting, where a rep put a named person in your calendar. Both rates are set per event before you commit to the event, and both are shown to you before you fund anything. There is no retainer to sign and no contract to cancel.
Event BDR pricing works this way because those are the only two units a client can check. Everything else an agency bills for is an input you cannot audit from the outside.
What you are never charged for
- Monthly fees or retainers of any kind.
- Day rates for a rep standing at an event.
- Flights, hotels, visas or per-diems for a team you did not send.
- Setup, onboarding or platform fees.
- Contacts that do not meet your brief.
Why per contact rather than a retainer
A retainer charges you for time whether or not the right people turned up. A day rate charges you for a body on a stand. Both put the risk on you, and both pay exactly the same for a good event and a wasted one. Charging a cost per qualified lead puts that risk on us instead: if the reps do not bring back people who match your brief, we do not get paid for them. That is the whole argument for the model, and it only holds if the qualification criteria are written honestly and agreed up front, which is why the brief is the first thing we ask for and the last thing anyone changes.
How the balance works
You fund the account, watch the balance draw down against contacts as they land during the event, and top up when you choose to. Every charge is itemised against the contact that caused it, so a line on the statement can always be traced to a named person a named rep spoke to. Contacts export to CSV, invoices are issued from the platform, and one account covers your whole team rather than one per user.
If a contact does not meet the brief
Dispute it. If it does not match the criteria you agreed before the event, it is voided and refunded to your balance as credit. Criteria are agreed in advance precisely so this is a check against a written standard rather than a negotiation, and a pay per qualified lead model that has no dispute route is not really pay per lead at all. Disputes are resolved against the brief text, not against what either side remembers wanting.
What a quote depends on
Four things: the size and profile of the event, how many reps you book, how many days they work, and how tight your brief is. A narrow brief at a large event costs more per contact than a broad one, because the rep walks past more people to find each match, and that is the honest reason rather than a pricing tactic. Tell us the event on the contact page and you get the numbers for that event rather than a range that fits nobody.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
It depends on the event and on the brief. Rates are set per event, against the size and profile of the event and how tight your qualification criteria are, and they are given to you in full before you commit to anything or fund an account. Ask for the numbers for your event on the contact page.
Is there a minimum spend?
Minimums are discussed per event, alongside how many reps are available for it. A smaller event with a broad brief needs less funding than a flagship event with a narrow one, and the conversation is about which of those you are actually running.
What if the event underdelivers?
You pay per contact, so an event that produces fewer contacts costs you less. That is the point of the model rather than an exception to it. A retainer charges the same whether the halls were full or empty, which puts the risk of a quiet event entirely on you.
Can we cap what we spend?
Yes. The account is prepaid, so it cannot be spent past what you have funded. There is no invoice arriving after the event for more than you agreed, and no open-ended commitment to a team you can no longer see.
How do refunds work?
A contact that does not meet the agreed criteria is disputed, voided, and returned to your balance as credit against future events. Because the criteria were written down before the event, the check is against a written standard rather than a negotiation about what somebody meant.
