Two venues, one show
The most recent edition closed with close to 300,000 attendees from more than 195 countries and over 8,500 exhibitors, filling a sold-out 280,000-plus square metres across Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City. At DWTC alone the show takes Halls 1 to 8, Za'abeel Halls 1 to 6, Sheikh Saeed Halls 1 to 3, the Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Maktoum Halls, the Trade Centre Arena and the Exhibition Plaza.
Who exhibits, and where
Roughly 1.5 million products across 12 sectors, deliberately split by site. DWTC carries beverages, dairy, fats and oils, meat and poultry, seafood, global power brands and the startups sector with its 250-plus food-tech companies. Dubai Exhibition Centre carries World Food, the expanded rice, pulses and grains sector, and the newer fresh, grocery trade and logistics halls. India exhibited as official country partner with more than 600 companies, while Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, the Maldives, Qatar, Rwanda, Slovakia, Sweden and Uganda exhibited for the first time.
Who buys
Importers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers and food-tech firms. The Big Deal Hub alone hosted over 1,000 premium buyers across 3,500-plus curated meetings, with more than 90% of registered users in C-suite or senior decision-making roles and delegations spanning six continents. Dubai World Trade Centre put the resulting deal value at AED 168 billion.

Why this floor defeats stand teams
Buyers rarely cross venues. A trader sourcing frozen poultry at DWTC has little reason to walk the logistics halls at Expo City, and the reverse holds too, so a single-site presence is by construction half a show. Add five days, more than twenty separate halls and spaces at DWTC alone, and a buyer base arriving from six continents, and the arithmetic of who you will actually meet becomes uncomfortable.

Gulfood 2027 exhibitor questions
Can our stand team share badges, and can anyone under 18 work on the stand?
No on both counts. Admission is restricted to trade and business professionals aged 18 or over, and under-18s are not allowed into the exhibition halls. Badges are non-transferable and cannot be loaned to or worn by anyone else, and attempting to transfer one makes that person ineligible for future editions. Everyone attending should carry photo ID, and trolleys and luggage are not allowed in the halls.
Does our space-only stand design have to be approved before we can build it?
Yes. Stand design drawings are submitted through the organiser portal, where the venue's structural team reviews them and issues clearance to build. A 3D drawing and a technical drawing are required as standard, and double- or triple-decker designs must also be backed by structural calculations. A stand built without that clearance can trigger disciplinary measures from the venue's health and safety team.
Who is allowed to rig a hanging banner or lighting truss above our stand?
Only the venue's own experiential agency, which is the sole provider of all top and primary rigging. Your stand contractor is the first point of contact for arranging it, and further rigging can be ordered through the venue's e-commerce platform. The rigging teams use only rated and approved hardware.
Do all the exhibition halls have the same ceiling height and rigging capacity?
No. Across Halls 1 to 8, the ceiling is 7.50 m in Halls 1, 2 and 5 to 8, while Halls 3 and 4 are 10 m. All eight are rated to a maximum floor load of 5,000 kg per square metre and a rigging capacity of 250 kg over a 5 m span, so confirm which hall your space sits in before signing off a tall structure or a heavy suspended banner.
What site rules must our contractors follow during build-up and breakdown?
Hard-capped safety shoes are mandatory; sneakers, sandals and everyday shoes are not accepted on site. No moving vehicles, including forklifts and general plant, may enter a hall while that hall is open to the public, and exhibits and materials may only be delivered, unpacked, packed or collected when the public is not admitted. A maximum speed limit of 10 km/h applies to all vehicles at the venue.
